Selected in 2002 by Rhode Island Monthly magazine as “The Best Pace to Buy a Bra”, Ruth’s Lingerie is known for its extensive bra inventory – the largest in New England. As times change, styles change. Our bra collection includes multiple selections of molded “tee-shirt” style garments from varying manufacturers including Anita, Chantelle, CosaBella, Fantasie, LeMystere, Natori, Panache, and Wacoal. We have fashion garments from Europe as well as more traditional garments from Crown, Glamorise, and Venus. Older standbys include one piece body suits, long lined garments from Carnival and Rago as well as the shapewear of Playtex, Custom Maid, and Smoothie. Newer entrees to the marketplace include DesleighAnn, Enell, Shapeez, and Shock Absorber. There's something for everyone. And if we don't have it, we'll do our best to find it for you.

Our collection of strapless bras includes bandeaus, long lines, and brasalettes. We work closely with clilents selecting undergarments for special occasion outfits. Ruth's staff goes the extra mile. Not only do we want a garment to fit a client, we want to make sure the garment is the best match for the dress.

Medical Equipment

We are a licensed facility for durable medical equipment. In that capacity, we serve more than 4000 women who have undergone breast surgery due to cancer. Our fitters are certified to work with mastectomy clients and our facility is accredited by Medicare. Appointments are never necessary.

As a provider for durable medical equipment, we also stock a full range of compression hosiery, maternity supports, cranial prostheses (wigs), back support garments, and support garments for women experiencing complications from hernias, “dropped” stomachs, post bariatric surgery, etc. Our foremost goal is to help women look good and feel good. We are a provider for all major insurance companies in Rhode island and will bill your insurance company directly for your medically needed purchases.

Additional Information

As a reminder – in selecting the best bra for you, lots of factors must be taken into consideration. Comfort is a paramount one. Do you want an underwired garment – often considered best for that “uplift” or support. If so, take into consideration how the garment is made. Is that underwire coming up too high under your underarm? Is the bra tacking properly at the center point? Is that underwire plushed sufficiently so that it is not irritating you? Does the garment give you the appearance you seek under your clothing? Do you feel comfortable sitting as well as standing?

A properly selected non wire bra can also supply good support. Do you need wide shoulder straps? Are your bra straps always falling off your shoulders? Is your bra riding up your back?
